There's only one way to go record shopping in America - and that's to hit the independent record stores of New York City in the company of the country's most prestigious rock bible - Rolling Stone.

Well, on her last visit to the big Apple last month Florence did exactly that, visiting Other Music with the magazine's Kevin O'Donnell to browse the racks and discuss some surprising influences...

  • dogsalad, i have the same problen as you. ladypage, you can still get record players i think argos sell them not sure but you can still get one. i considered the goldfrapp album but then bought the live lounge cd instead because it had florence's cover of halo on it!

  • cool! records! im 13 so ive never had a record :( but i really want to save up for a record player if you can still get them :) good idea getting the new goldfrapp album its brilliant cant wait for the cponcert on sunday heard youll be debuting new songs is this true? i hope so bye
