Florence's massive new single - 'Heavy In Your Arms' - hits the streets this November 14th.

The song is Florence's first new material since she recorded the award winning 'Lungs' - and has already featured on this year's huge Twilight soundtrack. The iTunes single will also features an atmospheric remix of the song by C-Berg.

Here's how Flo describes the song's inspiration and creation:

"'Heavy In Your Arms' I suppose is about the weight of love, and how sometimes it can be a burden between two people. I felt this was a strong theme in the Twilight series – is someone being rescued or are they being condemned, and is the love you carry bringing you down? I recorded it with Paul one evening, using a lot of strange reversed vocal samples and big hip hop piano. It's basically inspired by 90's hip hop, and gospel choirs, like most of my songs."

  • Florence is just amazing. People assume that kids of my age have no taste in music, it's actually really unfair. And people say Florence's stuff is pop music, but it isn't. I mean, most pop artists use nothing but techno in heir songs. Florence uses really cool guitars and piano in her songs. I actually really like the piano in Heavy In Your Arms. I love the acoustic guitar in You've Got The Love as well.

  • I can't cuz I'm in the U.S. :( Is there going to be a vinyl of Heavy in Your Arms? I love this song and I would buy it in a heartbeat. I especially love the artwork for Heavy in Your Arms. Florence looks so dark and pretty. :D
